ARAM’s professionals are regionally based and have backgrounds in investment banking and the portfolio management industry. They are able to offer a combination of in-depth market understanding, regional transaction experience and a significant network of contacts with established relationships at multiple levels of industry and government.

The team will look to assist clients by offering a range of value added solutions for emerging market assets. The team has already undertaken mandates which included valuing securities and portfolios, advising on strategic solutions for problem assets and other portfolio analysis. The team offers an unbiased understanding of the situation and assets and in the case of distressed assets an in-depth examination of documentation and collateral; a process that reveals a number of gaps relative to the investor’s previous understanding.

In other scenarios it may be that by working with holders of EM bonds, ARAM could seek to maximise their recovery value by providing a qualitative assessment of all available alternatives including direct negotiations with issuers, consolidation of their positions and as well as identifying potential buyers once these issues are addressed.
